Nestled in the picturesque valley of Sopuerta, in the Enkarterri region of Bizkaia, Torre Loizaga is a restored medieval tower housing one of the most impressive private collections of classic cars in Europe. This remarkable site combines historical architecture with automotive heritage, making it a unique attraction for history enthusiasts and car lovers alike.
The Torre Loizaga, originally built as a defensive fortress in the Middle Ages, was restored in the late 20th century by entrepreneur and collector Miguel de la Vía. His vision transformed the dilapidated structure into a cultural treasure, preserving its historical essence while adapting it to display his extensive car collection.
The car collection at Torre Loizaga includes over 70 impeccably maintained vehicles, showcasing the evolution of automotive design and engineering. Among its highlights is a complete series of Rolls-Royce models, spanning from the early 20th century to the 21st century. This makes it the only collection in Europe to display every Rolls-Royce produced during this period.
Visitors can admire iconic vehicles such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom series, classic convertibles, and rare luxury models. In addition to Rolls-Royce, the collection features renowned marques like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar, and Mercedes-Benz, representing the pinnacle of automotive craftsmanship.
