Pamplona Planetarium

The Pamplona Planetarium (Planetario de Pamplona) is a cultural and scientific center dedicated to astronomy and space sciences. Located in the Yamaguchi Park, this facility was inaugurated in 1993 and has since become a reference point for the dissemination of astronomical knowledge in Navarre. Its mission is to promote education and awareness about the universe through audiovisual projections, exhibitions, and interactive activities.

The planetarium’s main feature is its dome-shaped projection room, one of the largest in Spain, with a diameter of 20 meters and capacity for approximately 200 spectators. Equipped with an advanced optical and digital projection system, it offers immersive visual experiences that simulate celestial movements, allowing visitors to explore the night sky, planetary systems, and cosmic phenomena in high detail.

In addition to the dome, the exhibition halls host temporary and permanent displays related to space exploration, astrophysics, and meteorology. The planetarium collaborates with research institutions and space agencies to showcase the latest scientific discoveries. The exhibitions are designed to be interactive and educational, making them accessible to all audiences, including students, families, and astronomy enthusiasts.

The Pamplona Planetarium is an essential visit for those interested in space sciences and an ideal destination for families, students, and anyone eager to explore the mysteries of the universe in an engaging and educational setting.
