Las Eretas

The Museum and Archaeological Site of Las Eretas, located in the Navarrese town of Berbinzana, is an important site for understanding the pre-Roman history of the region. The archaeological site corresponds to an Iron Age settlement, inhabited between the 6th and 3rd centuries BCE, offering a detailed insight into the material culture and social organization of the local population before the arrival of the Romans.

The site stands out for the preservation of its urban layout, with narrow streets and rectangular houses built of adobe on stone foundations. Additionally, remains of a defensive wall have been found, indicating the strategic importance of the settlement at the time. Among the objects recovered from excavations are ceramics, tools, and other everyday items that help to better understand the way of life of its inhabitants.

The museum complements the visit to the site with an exhibition of the discovered archaeological materials, models, and informative panels that contextualize the history of the settlement. Some houses have also been reconstructed to offer a more immersive experience. Guided tours to the settlement are also available.
