Elkano is a celebrated seafood-grill restaurant in Getaria, Gipuzkoa, famous for its mastery over fish and shellfish cooked on an open charcoal grill.
Founded in 1964 by Pedro Arregi, it is now run by the next generation, led by Aitor Arregi. The restaurant is especially known for its turbot and fresh catch from the Bay of Biscay, always treated simply to highlight quality and flavour.
It houses around 80 diners, has a fine wine cellar, a terrace, and provides impeccable service in a warm, maritime-influenced setting.
