Moulin d’Alotz is a one-Michelin-star restaurant nestled in the French Basque countryside in Arcangues, in a beautifully restored 17th-century watermill.
Under chef Fabrice Idiart, the cuisine is inspired by nature — two tasting menus are offered: one fully plant-based, the other marrying land and sea with artful balance. Locally sourced ingredients like Basque beef, seasonal vegetables, lobster, and regional cheeses play starring roles.
The interior is romantic and tranquil, with a glass conservatory overlooking lush gardens and countryside, making for an immersive dining experience in both flavour and setting.
