La Revelía is located in Amorebieta-Etxano, in a restored farmhouse called Azkarraga, redesigned in a sleek, minimalist contemporary style. The restaurant stands out for its creative Basque cuisine deeply rooted in nature and seasonality. Surrounded by forest and meadows — a few kilometres north of the town centre — the setting offers calm, natural beauty and a sense of rural tranquillity that informs the restaurant’s philosophy.
In 2025 La Revelía earned its first star in the Michelin Guide — an accolade awarded for the restaurant’s “delicate creative cooking, grounded in Basque tradition and linked to nature,” according to the guide. Under the direction of chef Fernando González, the kitchen offers either à-la-carte options or a tasting menu. The cuisine emphasises the highest-quality seasonal produce, mostly sourced from nearby farms, with dishes that evolve according to the market and the time of year.
Typical offerings have included creative and refined combinations such as tear-pea with citrus sabayon, hake in pil-pil, or seasonal meat and game dishes. The tasting menu and à-la-carte alike reflect a commitment to balancing tradition, technique and innovation.
Beyond gastronomy, La Revelía is conceived as a place to disconnect — a rural retreat offering both fine dining and lodging. The same building hosts a small agrotourism hotel with a handful of rooms, integrating hospitality and nature in a coherent project.
