Garena Restaurant

Nestled between the Urkiola and Gorbea mountains in Dima, Restaurante Garena is a Michelin-starred Basque country-house led by young chef Julen Baz.

Located in a renovated farmhouse with its own vineyard growing indigenous “hondarrabi” grapes for txakoli, Garena offers a culinary project rooted in tradition yet fresh and adventurous. The cuisine honours the subsistence dishes of old country homesteads — simple, hearty, local — transformed into elegant tasting menus.

There are also more relaxed spaces (a bar/terrace taberna) for casual sharing. Beautiful nature surrounds it, making the experience both gastronomic and scenic.
