iBAi by Paulo Airaudo is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Donostia/San Sebastián, located on Getaria Street in the heart of the city.
The venue reimagines a beloved traditional eatery previously run by Alicio Garro, maintaining its historic bar area and pintxo culture while adding modern refinement under Airaudo’s leadership. Dining takes place in an intimate basement room with six sizeable tables, each with its own “cupboard,” and is based around two tasting menus.
Signature dishes include grilled carabinero prawns and five versions of hake cheeks (“kokotxas”) prepared different ways — battered, grilled, confit — all showcasing a strong seasonal, market-driven Basque cuisine.
