Izenaduba Basoa is a cultural and educational theme park located in Mungia, Bizkaia. Established in 2004, the park is dedicated to preserving and promoting Basque mythology, traditions, and folklore. It provides visitors with an interactive experience that combines education and entertainment, particularly for families and school groups.

The centerpiece of Izenaduba Basoa is a baserri (traditional Basque farmhouse), one of the oldest in the region, built in 1510, which serves as an introduction to traditional Basque rural life. The park brings to life characters from Basque mythology, such as Mari (the goddess of nature), Olentzero (the Basque Christmas figure), and other legendary beings like Lamiak and Tartalo. Through guided tours, storytelling, and theatrical performances, visitors can explore the rich oral traditions of the Basque people.

The park also features themed zones, including interactive exhibits and workshops, where visitors can learn about ancient crafts, gastronomy, and agricultural practices. Seasonal activities, such as Christmas events centered around Olentzero, enhance the park’s offerings throughout the year.
