Ithurria is a charming family-run restaurant-hotel located in the picturesque village of Ainhoa, in the French Basque Country.
Led by the Isabal family, the kitchen is currently helmed by chef Xavier and his brother Martin, who took up the mantle, bringing respect for Basque tradition with abundant creativity. The setting is historic—a restored 17th-century former pilgrims’ home—with classic Basque architecture, a lush garden, and a kitchen garden supplying fresh produce.
The menu is seasonal, elegant, and regionally rooted, with excellent desserts by pastry chef Louis. Ithurria holds a Michelin star and offers a refined gastronomic experience, complemented by warm service and a very fine wine cellar.
