Lore Ttipia is a one-Michelin-star restaurant located in a restored 17th-century farmhouse in Bidarray, Bedarray, in the French Basque countryside.
Chef John Argaud, trained in the Basque region and at Le Meurice in Paris, crafts cuisine that vibrates between land, sea and fire. Dishes use local ingredients—trout, Aldudes pork, seasonal vegetables—and many are cooked over embers or finished on hot stone for depth and texture.
The setting is bucolic: panoramic terrace views over mountains, oak wine cellar open to the dining room, elegant but warm décor.
