The San Sebastián Jazz Festival (Jazzaldia) is one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in Europe and the oldest in Spain. Established in 1966, it is held annually in late July in San Sebastián (Donostia), Gipuzkoa, attracting world-class musicians and jazz enthusiasts from around the globe.

Jazzaldia features a diverse program that includes traditional, contemporary, and experimental jazz, as well as fusion with other genres such as blues, soul, and electronic music. Performances take place in multiple venues across the city, with the most iconic being the Plaza de la Trinidad, a historic setting in the old town that has hosted legendary artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Herbie Hancock.

Another highlight of the festival is the free concerts on Zurriola Beach, where thousands of spectators gather to enjoy performances in a more informal and open-air atmosphere. Additional venues include the Kursaal Auditorium, Victoria Eugenia Theatre, and San Telmo Museum, ensuring a variety of settings that cater to different musical experiences.
